Kevin Nham (he/him)
Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC)
Kevin Nham is a dedicated therapist with over 14 years of experience in mental health, specializing in the intersection of diabetes management and mental well-being. He also focuses on relationship therapy and men’s issues. He holds a Master of Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University and is a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC).
As a first-generation Canadian, Kevin brings a unique cultural perspective and a deep personal commitment to supporting individuals living with chronic health conditions like diabetes. He understands the emotional toll that managing such conditions can take, from the anxiety of the unknown to feelings of guilt, shame, and grief over life changes. His approach is compassionate and empathetic, helping clients navigate these challenges while improving their mental health and quality of life.
Kevin’s therapeutic style is grounded in evidence-based methods, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and the Gottman Method for relationship therapy. He has also received specialized training from Breakthrough T1D, further enhancing his expertise in supporting individuals with diabetes.

Samson Tshuma (he/him)
Intern Therapist
Samson Tshuma is a dedicated student intern in his final year of the Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) program at Yorkville University, and he is excited to join Pineapple Therapy for his practicum. He is passionate about supporting teens and young adults, especially those navigating the intersection of diabetes management and mental health.
Samson is committed to fostering an inclusive, culturally sensitive, and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore life’s challenges, including the emotional complexities of living with diabetes. He works with clients to develop effective coping strategies for managing both the physical and emotional aspects of chronic conditions, including stress, anxiety, and self-esteem concerns.
In his practice, Samson utilizes an integrative approach, drawing from evidence-based therapies such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT). This approach allows him to address a range of issues, from the pressures of managing diabetes to navigating relationship, career, or personal struggles.

Kayla Chorley is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Counselling Therapist specializing in supporting individuals living with diabetes. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 12, Kayla understands the unique challenges of managing this condition. Her personal experience has shaped her therapeutic approach, blending psychological expertise with insights into diabetes management.
With over five years of professional experience, Kayla holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, focusing on chronic illness and mental health. Her practice, Pineapple Therapy, is known for its compassionate approach, offering individual therapy, group support, and workshops. Kayla employs evidence-based techniques like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build resilience, manage stress, and improve their overall well-being.
