Kayla Chorley is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Counselling Therapist specializing in supporting individuals living with diabetes. Diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at age 12, Kayla understands the unique challenges of managing this condition. Her personal experience has shaped her therapeutic approach, blending psychological expertise with insights into diabetes management.
With over five years of professional experience, Kayla holds a Master’s in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, focusing on chronic illness and mental health. Her practice, Pineapple Therapy, is known for its compassionate approach, offering individual therapy, group support, and workshops. Kayla employs evidence-based techniques like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to help clients build resilience, manage stress, and improve their overall well-being.
An active member of the diabetes community, Kayla speaks at conferences, contributes to publications, and collaborates with organizations to advocate for better support and resources.
Kayla’s mission is to create a supportive environment where individuals with diabetes can thrive, emphasizing connection, education, and self-compassion.

Kevin is a Canadian Certified Counsellor and Registered Psychotherapist (Ontario).
If you’re seeking meaningful and sustainable change, I’m here to guide you through a journey of self-awareness and growth, where we embrace our imperfections and build on your foundational values.
I specialize in long-term health concerns, relationships, and men’s issues, using approaches like Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and the Gottman Method, while welcoming all, especially those new to therapy.
Samson Tshama (he/him)
Intern Counsellor
Samson is a student intern in my final year of my Master of Arts in Counselling
Psychology degree (MACP) at Yorkville University, and is extremely excited about joining Pineapple Therapy for his practicum.
He is deeply committed to fostering an inclusive, culturally sensitive and non-judgmental environment where individuals can explore, navigate life challenges and develop healthy coping strategies.
In his practice he utilizes an integrative approach, based on evidence-based strategies which draw from, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) , Emotionally Focused Therapy and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFT).
Whether you are a teen who is feeling overwhelmed, stuck or trying to fit in, or a young adult dealing with huge emotions or navigating difficult career, or relationship decisions – he is here to help.
